Killbear Provincial Park, nestled on a peninsula on Georgian Bay, is a water lover’s paradise for swimming, sailing, fishing and boating. You can spend hours strolling along the sandy beaches or take a hike on one of the four hiking trails. Wildlife is prevalent throughout the park; Natural Heritage Education Programs entertain and educate visitors about the parks’ history, geology, animals, and plants. Be sure to stop by the Visitor Centre as well, it’s a hub of activity with interactive exhibits and Park Naturalists on duty to help you understand more about the park.
Killbear has seven different campgrounds. Most campsites are less than a five-minute walk from the shoreline and premium sites offer great views of Georgian Bay. Campsites are available for all types of camping equipment and comfort stations with laundry facilities are located in all campgrounds except for Granite Saddle. Electrical sites are available in Kilcoursie, Beaver Dams, and Harold Point campgrounds. Killbear also offers a beautiful dog beach and pet exercise area for you and your pets to enjoy.
