Georgian Bay Tours was founded by James Roberts and Dympna Hayes in 2021. James and Dympna are professional kayakers and have been guiding people in the wilderness full-time since 2007 through their paddling school, Ontario Sea Kayak Centre. Georgian Bay Tours is our way of giving access to the UNESCO Georgian Bay Biosphere to people of all abilities. Georgian Bay Tours are a great way to discover the world’s largest freshwater archipelago. Our Adventure Boat will give you an intimate look at the 30,000 Islands allowing you to get up close and personal with our region’s most beautiful natural area. These half-day island adventure tours are 3.5 hours long and take you deep into the Georgian Bay UNESCO Biosphere. Once you get to a secluded location we will set anchor and head out in kayaks or on Stand-Up Paddleboards (by request) to quietly glide between the channels and bays of these freshwater granite islands.
Our company’s mission is to provide immersive and sustainable eco-tours that showcase the natural beauty and cultural richness of the Georgian Bay region while fostering a deep appreciation for the environment and local communities. We strive to create unforgettable experiences that inspire our guests to become stewards of the natural world and make a positive impact on the planet. We are committed to responsible and ethical tourism practices that prioritize conservation, education, and community development, and to supporting the preservation of Georgian Bay’s unique ecosystem for future generations to enjoy.
