Whether you are itching to dust off your golf clubs, eager to embark on a sight seeing adventure or looking to enjoy a memorable meal, a visit to one of these local businesses in their opening week will deliver the Spring rush you are after. Plan to visit early in the season to beat the crowds and take advantage of special Spring offers.
Located just North of Parry Sound on beautiful Lake Manitouwabing The Ridge at Manitou Golf Club opens its doors Friday, May 12th. Also located just North of Parry Sound in Snug Harbour, local favourite Gilly’s Restaurant will begin welcoming customers May 12st for fresh and delicious fish and chips, homemade burgers and much more served in a warm casual environment. Their full menu can be viewed here, Gilly’s does not accept reservations so Spring is a great time to stop by.
The Town Dock in Parry Sound is coming to life this week too, as Georgian Bay Airways takes flight on April 29th. Their 30,000 Island tour is a spectacular sight-seeing experience – see the Parry Sound area including; Snug Harbour, Killbear Park, Sans Souci and the Massassauga Park from the comfort of one of their seaplanes. With a full service coffee, ice cream and gift shop no visit to Parry Sound is complete without a stop at their base on Bay Street.
Water lovers can celebrate too, as the White Squall Paddling Centre is now open for business in Nobel. Stop in to shop, enroll in one of their many exciting paddling excursions or take a lesson- all are welcome, from first time paddlers to seasoned veterans looking for a refresher. The friendly folks at White Squall are full of local information on green initiatives and offer equipment rentals, and if you prefer a retail adventure their Town Store on on James Street is open seven days for all of your outdoor gear needs.
